R-(Sh-Oligopeptide-75 Sh-Oligopeptide-1) is a single-chain recombinant peptide obtained by fermenting Escherichia coli.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formula ingredients caused by reaction with oxygen, help manage shine caused by sebum and scalp and skin condition, and reduce tangling and a rough feel in the hair for smooth grooming.[2] It is also used to help protect the skin from external factors.[2]
