About R-(Methionyl Tripeptide-46 Hexapeptide-40 Tetrapeptide-66 Synechococcus Polypeptide-1)
R-(Methionyl Tripeptide-46 Hexapeptide-40 Tetrapeptide-66 Synechococcus Polypeptide-1) is a single-chain recombinant peptide obtained by fermentation in Escherichia coli.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit microbial growth, slow the oxidation of formula ingredients caused by reaction with oxygen, and provide a temporary astringent sensation on the skin or scalp.[2] It is also used to add color to the product or application area, attract water to the formula and skin surface to maintain moisturization, and leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] It is used to absorb or reflect ultraviolet light and reduce the amount reaching the skin.[2]
