About Quaternium-15
Quaternium-15 is a quaternary ammonium salt.[1] Because Quaternium-15 has a structure containing parts that are attracted to water and oil, its cleansing power, foam, and sensory feel may vary depending on the concentration and the surfactants used with it. In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms in products and delay deterioration during storage.[3] It cannot be used in cosmetics in Europe.[2]
