About PPG-75-PEG-300 Hexylene Glycol
PPG-75-PEG-300 Hexylene Glycol is the ether of polyoxypropylene and polyoxyethylene derived from hexylene glycol, with an average of 75 moles of propylene oxide and 300 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 300 indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; with the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
