About PPG-70 Tocophereth-100

PPG-70 Tocophereth-100 is an alkoxylated derivative of tocopherol composed of an average of 70 moles of propylene oxide and an average of 100 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 70 after PPG indicates the average number of linked propylene oxide units. Together with the type of fatty component attached, this number affects the degree to which it mixes with oils and the feel on application. In cosmetics, it is used to help powder ingredients flow evenly without clumping, slow the rate at which formulation ingredients oxidize through reaction with oxygen, and leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
