About PPG-50 Glyceryl Ether

PPG-50 Glyceryl Ether is the polypropylene glycol ether of glycerin.[1] The number 50 after PPG indicates the average number of linked propylene oxide units. Together with the type of fatty component attached, this affects how well it mixes with oils and its application feel. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
