PPG-5 Phytosterol is the polypropylene glycol ether of phytosterol containing an average of 5 moles of propylene oxide.[1] The number 5 after PPG indicates the average number of linked propylene oxide units; this number and the type of fatty component attached to it affect how well it mixes with oils and its application feel.
