About PPG-4 Trideceth-6

PPG-4 Trideceth-6 is a polyoxyethylene, polyoxypropylene ether of tridecyl alcohol.[1] The number 6 at the end of the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units, changing the balance between water-loving and oil-loving portions and creating differences in cleansing power, emulsifying ability, and feel. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
