About PPG-24-Glycereth-24

PPG-24-Glycereth-24 is the polyoxypropylene, polyoxyethylene ether of glycerin.[1] The number 24 after PPG indicates the average number of linked propylene oxide units. Depending on this number and the type of fatty component attached, its oil-mixing ability and application feel vary. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, dissolve other raw materials to create a uniform formulation, and lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
