PPG-2 Dimethicone is a polypropylene glycol derivative of dimethicone with an average of 2 moles of propylene oxide.[1] The number 2 after PPG indicates the average number of linked propylene oxide units; the degree to which it mixes with oils and its application feel vary according to this number and the type of fatty component attached.
