PPG-2-Deceth-30 is a polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene ether of decyl alcohol.[1] The number 2 after PPG indicates the average number of linked propylene oxide units. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
