About PPG-2 C12-15 Alketh-6

PPG-2 C12-15 Alketh-6 is a polyoxyethylene, polyoxypropylene ether of a mixture of synthetic alcohols.[1] The number 2 after PPG indicates the average number of linked propylene oxide units. This number, along with the type of fatty component attached, affects the degree to which it mixes with oils and its application feel. In cosmetics, it is used to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are uniformly mixed.[2]
