About PPG-14 Polyglyceryl-2 Ether
PPG-14 Polyglyceryl-2 Ether is the polypropylene glycol ether of a glycerin dimer propoxylated with an average of 14 moles.[1] The number 14 after PPG indicates the average number of linked propylene oxide units; this number and the type of fatty component attached to it affect oil miscibility and application feel. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
