About PPG-10 Lanolin Alcohol Ether

PPG-10 Lanolin Alcohol Ether is the polypropylene glycol ether of lanolin alcohol with an average propoxylation value of 10.[1] The number 10 after PPG indicates the average number of linked propylene oxide units. This number and the type of fatty component attached to it affect how well it mixes with oils and its application feel. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction and add a smooth feel to the skin or hair, to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair while leaving it smooth.[2]
