About PPG-10 Jojoba Alcohol

PPG-10 Jojoba Alcohol is the polypropylene glycol ether of jojoba alcohol, with an average propoxylation value of 10.[1] The number 10 after PPG indicates the average number of linked propylene oxide units. Along with the type of fatty component attached, this affects how well it mixes with oils and how it feels when applied. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
