About PPG-10 Jojoba Acid
PPG-10 Jojoba Acid is a polypropylene glycol derivative of the acid obtained by saponifying jojoba seed oil, with an average propoxylation value of 10.[1] The number 10 after PPG indicates the average number of linked propylene oxide units; this number and the type of fatty component attached to it affect how well it mixes with oil and its application feel. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, help keep emulsions of water and oil from separating easily, and leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
