About Potassium Undecylenate

Potassium undecylenate is the potassium salt of undecylenic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and inhibit the growth of microorganisms in products to help delay spoilage during storage.[3] In Europe, when used as a preservative, it is permitted at up to 0.2% (calculated as acid).[2]
