About Potassium Olivate

Potassium Olivate is the potassium salt of fatty acids derived from olive oil.[1] Because Potassium Olivate has both water- and oil-affine parts, its cleansing power, foam, and feel may vary depending on the formulation concentration and the surfactants used with it. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
