About Potassium Glyceryl Tricetearate/Citrate
Potassium Glyceryl Tricetearate/Citrate is an ingredient in the form of a salt formed by pairing an acid and a base.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help ingredients in a formulation bind together and maintain its shape, increase formulation bulk and adjust the amount of solids, reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, prevent separation of the emulsion during storage, and inhibit microbial growth to slow deterioration during storage.[1] It is also used to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth, and to adjust viscosity and flow.[1] [1]
