About Polyvinyl Imidazolinium Acetate
Polyvinyl Imidazolinium Acetate is a polymer of vinyl imidazolinium acetate.[1] Its molecular weight, degree of crosslinking, and concentration may affect the viscosity of the formula and the thickness and flexibility of the film formed after drying. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, and to form a thin film on the skin, hair, and nail surfaces after application.[2]
