About Polyurethane-46

Polyurethane-46 is a polymer based on a complex urethane structure.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair, leaving it smoother and more manageable.[3] In Europe, it is permitted at up to 2.5% in leave-on products, while no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
