About Polyquaternium-66
Polyquaternium-66 is an interfacial ingredient that acts at the boundary between water and oil.[1] The number 66 after Polyquaternium is only an identification number used to distinguish different Polyquaterniums; it does not indicate the content or molecular size. Its positively charged parts are used to reduce static in hair and leave a thin film. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce tangling and roughness in hair for smooth grooming and to hold the desired hairstyle in place.[1]
