About Polyquaternium-111
Polyquaternium-111 is an interfacial ingredient that acts at the boundary between water and oil.[1] The number 111 after Polyquaternium is only an identifying number that distinguishes different Polyquaternium ingredients; it does not indicate the content or molecular size. Its positively charged portions are used to reduce static electricity in hair and leave a thin film. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, and to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair and leave it feeling smooth.[1]
