About Polyquaternium-110
Polyquaternium-110 is a polymerized quaternary ammonium salt obtained by reacting dimethylaminopropyl dimethylpropanediamine, substituted (quaternized) with dodecenylsuccinic anhydride, diisopropanolamine, and sodium chloroacetate.[1] The number 110 after Polyquaternium is only an identification number distinguishing different Polyquaterniums; it does not indicate content or molecular size. Its positively charged portions are used to reduce static in hair and leave a thin film. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair and leave it smooth.[2]
