Polyquaternium-107 is a polymeric quaternary ammonium compound obtained from phosphorylcholine glycol methacrylate, stearyl methacrylate, and dimethylaminopropyl acrylamide.[1] The number 107 after Polyquaternium is only an identifying number that distinguishes different Polyquaterniums; it does not indicate the content or molecular size. Its positively charged portions are used to reduce static in hair and leave a thin film. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce hair tangling and rough feel, leaving hair softly groomed.[2]
