About Polyquaternium-106
Polyquaternium-106 is a surfactant that acts at the boundary between water and oil.[1] The number 106 following Polyquaternium is only an identification number distinguishing different Polyquaterniums; it does not indicate content or molecular size. Its positively charged portion is used to reduce static in hair and leave a thin film. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce tangling and roughness in hair for soft, neat conditioning.[1]
