About Polyperfluoroethoxymethoxy PEG-2 Phosphate
Polyperfluoroethoxymethoxy PEG-2 Phosphate is a complex mixture of esters of phosphoric acid and perfluoropolymethyl isopropyl ether.[1] The number 2 in the name represents the average number of added ethylene oxide units; within the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formula's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
