About Polyglyceryl-6 Trilaurate

Polyglyceryl-6 Trilaurate is an ester in which parts derived from an acid and an alcohol are bonded together.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities be rinsed away with water, to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[1] It is also used to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth and to lower surface tension so that raw materials can become wetted, mix, and spread evenly.[1]
