Polyglyceryl-4 Diisostearate/Polyhydroxystearate/Sebacate is a diester of polyglycerin-4 and a mixture of isostearic acid, polyhydroxystearic acid, and sebacic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, prevent the emulsified state of water and oil from separating easily, and lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
