About Polyglyceryl-10 Heptacaprylate
Polyglyceryl-10 Heptacaprylate is an ester formed from acid- and alcohol-derived parts.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to help prevent emulsified water-and-oil mixtures from separating easily.[1] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[1]
