About Polyglyceryl-10 Caprylate/Caprate

Polyglyceryl-10 Caprylate/Caprate is a monoester of Polyglycerin-10 and a mixture of caprylic and capric acids.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, to dissolve other raw materials and create a uniform formula, and to help prevent the formula's state and properties from changing easily during storage.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
