About Polyester-16
Polyester-16 is a polymer made of repeating units linked together in a long chain.[1] Its molecular weight, degree of cross-linking, and concentration in the formula may affect the formula’s viscosity and the thickness and flexibility of the film formed after drying. In cosmetics, it is used to form a thin film on the surface of the skin, hair, or nails after application and to lower surface tension so that raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[1]
