About Polyalkylaminoester-1

Polyalkylaminoester-1 is a complex polymer obtained by first creating a polymer precursor by attaching 1 mole of propylene oxide to each end of polybutadiene, obtained by polymerizing butadiene, and then esterifying 1 mole of acrylic acid to each end; N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-1,3-diaminopropane is then attached to the acrylate terminal groups at both ends of this precursor through a Michael addition reaction.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to keep the desired hairstyle in place.[2]
