About Polyacrylate-45
Polyacrylate-45 is a polymer made of long chains of repeating units.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help ingredients in a formulation bind together and maintain its form, to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and to help keep emulsions of water and oil from separating easily.[1] It is also used to form a thin film on the surface of the skin, hair, or nails after application, to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth, and to help keep the formulation’s condition and properties from changing easily during storage.[1] It is used to adjust the formulation’s viscosity and flow.[1]
