Polyacrylate-31 is a copolymer of one or more monomers of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, or one of their simple esters neutralized with aminomethyl propanol, together with C1-18 alkyl acrylate, C1-8 alkyl acrylate, and methoxymethyl acrylamide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to hold a desired hairstyle in place.[2]
