About Poly(Linseed Oil)

Poly(Linseed Oil) is a polymer of linseed oil.[1] Because it is centered on fatty components obtained from the seeds, it mixes better with oils than with water and is suitable for adding slip and a flexible feel to skin or hair while reducing the feeling of moisture evaporating quickly. In cosmetics, it is used to help ingredients in a formulation bind together and maintain its form, form a thin film on the surface of the skin, hair, or nails after application, and reduce tangling and roughness to leave hair soft and manageable.[2] It is also used to keep a desired hairstyle from losing its shape, help create waves or straighten hair, and adjust the viscosity and flow of a formulation.[2]
