About Poloxamer 335
Poloxamer 335 is a polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene block copolymer.[1] In the Poloxamer number 335, the first two digits indicate an approximate molecular weight of 3300 for the oil-affinitive middle section, while the last digit indicates that the water-affinitive section accounts for approximately 50%; the oil- and water-affinitive sections are relatively balanced. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly blended, and to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
