About Poloxamer 235

Poloxamer 235 is a polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene block polymer.[1] In Poloxamer number 235, the first two digits indicate an approximate molecular weight of 2300 for the oil-loving middle portion, while the last digit indicates that the water-loving portion accounts for approximately 50%. The water- and oil-loving portions are relatively balanced. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
