Pinus Pinaster Leaf/Twig Oil is a volatile oil obtained from the leaves and twigs of Pinus pinaster.[1] Volatile components obtained from the leaves and twigs of Pinus pinaster contribute to the initial impression of the scent and the lingering scent after application, and tend to evaporate more readily than ordinary plant oils. In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms, reduce sweat secretion, and reduce the prominence of unpleasant odors.[3] In Europe, only ingredients with a peroxide value below 10 mmol/L may be used.[2]
