About Phosphatidylglycerol

Phosphatidylglycerol is a phospholipid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth, to help protect the skin from external factors, and to help prevent emulsified mixtures of water and oil from separating easily.[1] It is also used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to lower surface tension so that raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[1]
