About Pegmatite

Pegmatite is a mineral composed mainly of quartz, feldspar, and mica.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to physically scrub deposits from the surface of skin or teeth, absorb liquids in the formula such as water or oil, and inhibit the growth of microorganisms.[2] It is also used to increase the volume of a formula, adjust the amount of solids, and leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
