About PEG/PPG-150/30 Copolymer

PEG/PPG-150/30 Copolymer is a random copolymer obtained by reacting 30 moles of propylene oxide with an average of 150 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 150 after PPG indicates the average number of linked propylene oxide units. Along with the type of fatty component attached, this affects how readily it mixes with oil and the feel during application. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
