About PEG/PPG-15/15 Allyl Ether Acetate

PEG/PPG-15/15 Allyl Ether Acetate is a polyoxyethylene, polyoxypropylene derivative of allyl ether acetate containing 15 moles of ethylene oxide and 15 moles of propylene oxide.[1] The number 15 after PPG indicates the average number of linked propylene oxide units. Depending on this number and the type of fatty component attached, its compatibility with oils and application feel vary. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
