About PEG-90/Polyepsilon Caprolactone

PEG-90/Polyepsilon Caprolactone is a block copolymer.[1] The number 90 indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added; with the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, attract water to the formula and skin surface to help maintain moisturization, and lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, diethylene glycol remaining as an impurity in the raw material must be controlled at 0.1% or below.[2]
