About PEG-9 Oleamide

PEG-9 Oleamide is a polyethylene glycol amide of oleic acid.[1] The number 9 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units. For the same base structure, changes in this number may also affect how readily it mixes with water and the formula's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
