About PEG-9 Borageate

PEG-9 Borageate is a polyethylene glycol ester of fatty acids derived from borage seed oil.[1] The number 9 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added. With the same base structure, changing this number may affect water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
