About PEG-8 Myristate
PEG-8 Myristate is a polyethylene glycol ester of myristic acid.[1] The number 8 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added. For the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
