About PEG-8 Dioleate
PEG-8 Dioleate is a polyethylene glycol diester of oleic acid.[1] The number 8 in the name represents the average number of ethylene oxide units added; within the same base structure, changes in this number can affect water dispersibility as well as the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
