About PEG-8 Beeswax

PEG-8 Beeswax is a polyethylene glycol derivative of beeswax with an average of 8 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 8 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units. With the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
