About PEG-75
PEG-75 is a polymer of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 75 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added; with the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, it is used to help formulation ingredients bind together and maintain the product's form, attract moisture to the formulation and skin's surface to help maintain hydration, and dissolve other ingredients to create a uniform formulation.[2]
